It's nice to know that someone has rights. What about the owner of the bakery--what rights does he have?
Does anyone even know what the rainbow really symbolizes? Not sure why the gay's want to claim the rainbow. I'm sure they're against the Bible and the rainbow is a promise from God.
Look it up!

@Donita

The many colors of the rainbow also symbolize diversity. The rainbow flags symbolization for LGBT pride started in the 70's...."look it up".

Also....I have lots of friends that are both Christian and homosexual http://www.fox59.com/news/wxin-greensburg-student-suicide-091310,0,1101685.story

You should be ashamed of yourself.

The people of INDIANA need to WAKE UP!

It seems like all the people with various human rights and equality groups are always telling people to "Stand up" for what they believe is right. Well, this man at the bakery did just that. Why is it suddenly so wrong for him to do so?
I think the ad in the Indianapolis Star from ie and HRC with the cupcake is really childish. This whole thing is being blown completely out of proportion.

The problem is that it was a city market vendor, which means they have to adhere to city-county policy since they rent a space to conduct business on city property. This is in violation to the city's anti-discimination policy which includes sexual orientation.

Donita, I agree with you that a business owner has the right to stand up for what they believe in, but sometimes you must simply comply with the laws. It seems ridiculous to me that this business owner denied service based on moral grounds--if he denied service to everyone not in line with God's word--not a damn person would walk out of there with a cupcake.

If you asked me WWJD? I'd say, give the gay a cupcake.
