The Price of Equality

Over the summer, we have been busy engaging with many in communities across the state at several Pride Events. These events not only celebrate our LGBT community, but also provide an opportunity to engage with participants about the issues we face and how they can join in our fight to Embrace Equality. We’ve also been reaching out to organizations, businesses and community leaders across the state as we build a diverse coalition to oppose HJR-6.

The bulk of our efforts are carried out through our tremendous volunteers and the members of Board of Directors, who likewise volunteer their time and energies, to help make Indiana a more inclusive and welcoming place to call home. However, our work does come with some costs. And today, we ask you to consider how much of those costs you are willing to contribute to through our Membership program.

Membership is just $25 annually, the equivalent of about $2 a month or a cup of coffee.

By becoming a member of Indiana Equality, you will help provide the necessary resources to help us build a true statewide grassroots campaign for equality. You will also demonstrate your support for equal rights and Indiana Equality.

As a member, you will receive a Membership Card as a personal reminder of the issues facing the LGBT community and the work you are helping to support. You will also receive a static sticker to show others that you stand for equal rights and are proud to support Indiana Equality.

For the price of a night out at the movies, you can make a difference.

Funds raised through our Membership Program will help offset our operating cost. Funds will also help us continue our outreach efforts across the state to fully educate and engage the LGBT community, coalition partners, civic, religious and business leaders, and our straight allies.

Printing materials, maintaining a website, having a table at Prides and other allied events—it all takes financial resources.  We are grateful for your support in assuring everyone knows what is at stake and how they can be involved in the equality movement in Indiana.

Because you matter, become a member of Indiana Equality today!

Together we work to make Indiana a place where we can all live, work and love free of bias and discrimination.  Thank you for your support, commitment, and action in Embracing Equality!
