On Wednesday the U.S. House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly for a stand-alone bill to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT), the oppressive law that has barred gays and lesbians from serving openly in the U.S. military.
This weekend the U.S. Senate will vote on the same bill that could repeal the discriminatory law once and for all. President Obama has been a vocal supporter of the repeal and will sign the bill into law if the Senate passes it.
Call your senators today to strongly encourage them to vote "yes" when the bill comes to the senate floor this weekend.
