Free Public Forum kicks off DivaFest featuring a panelist of local directors, writers and actors discussing the importance of producing new works.
Chaired by David Hoppe, Arts Editor of NUVO, the panel includes actor, Rob Johansen; playwright, Matt Roland and Russell McGee, Artistic Director, Starry Night Productions. Enjoy a glass of Barefoot Bubbly champagne with the playwrights and the panel.
3 days and five new original plays all by women.
Each show gets 3 performances over the weekend.

"When I think of the impact David Hoppe's first play, AFTER PAUL McCARTNEY, had on our local theatre scene, it is so easy to see why DivaFest is such an important function. Each time a new writer of plays is given a forum to hear their play, magic happens... They are informed and more times than not, the audience is moved, and the inspiration is laid for these rookie writers to keep going. Without forums like DivaFest, many accomplished writers might never have been heard from."
