UPDATE: University of Southern Indiana to consider extending domestic partner benefits
Despite pressure from Micah Clark, Executive Director for the American Family Association of Indiana, to not extend domestic partner benefits, the University Of Southern Indiana Board Of Trustees made the right decision in investigating the matter further. This item will be on the Board’s agenda in the future.
As you may know Ball State University, Butler University, DePauw University, Indiana University, Indiana State University, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, and Purdue University provide similar benefits, along with a majority of the Fortune 500 companies and many major Indiana corporations, including Abbott Diagnostics, Cummins, Dow AgroScience, Eli Lilly & Company, Guidant Corporation, Hill Rom Company, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and WellPoint.
