Wishing for the blank page

As I sat here tonight, wondering what to write, I noticed the simplicity of the white

blankness spread before me.  It's crisp and clean and has sharp easily defined edges. 

As soon as one letter is typed, it becomes a mass of confusion, obfuscation and blather.

There are times when our community seems so motivated by the need for acceptance that we are perfectly willing to villainize other populations to gain sympathy for our movement.

Veritas and Indiana Family Institute okay with polygamy?

And the b.s. of the month award goes to: The Indiana Family Institute and Veritas Rex

All the time I read that not only is the Indiana Family Institute opposed to “homosexuality” (I hope this isn’t breaking news), but also polygamy. In fact, that seems to be a major talking point of the IFI and Veritas Rex, the organization’s blog.

Annual Report on Anti-LGBT Hate Violence Released

Report shows a 24% increase in incidents over 2006

New York – Today, the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP) and over 30 of its members across the U.S. released their annual report on violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. The 78-page report examines data compiled from 2,430 LGBT people who experienced hate violence in regions across the country including: Chicago, Los Angeles, Columbus, Colorado, Houston, Texas, Kansas City, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, the New York City area, Pennsylvania, the San Francisco Bay area, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
