Contact the University of Southern Indiana today in support of domestic partner benefits

Trustees of the University of Southern Indiana will voting tomorrow, Saturday, May 10th, on a proposal to offer domestic partner health care benefits to university faculty and staff.

With this vote, USI  will join a growing number of public and private employers across the country that recognize domestic partner benefits as an inexpensive option to attract and retain the best employees and to promote fairness and equality in the workplace.

Ball State University, Butler University, DePauw University, Indiana University, Indiana State University, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, and Purdue University provide similar benefits, along with a majority of the Fortune 500 companies and many major Indiana corporations, including Abbott Diagnostics, Cummins, Dow AgroScience, Eli Lilly & Company, Guidant Corporation, Hill Rom Company, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and WellPoint.

Please take a few minutes today to express your support for this important action by the University of Southern Indiana by contacting USI President Raymond Hoops at hoops@usi.edu or by calling 812-464-1756.
